Sam grew up in Maryland. He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked as a Development Engineer at Black & Decker Corporation. He then attended University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated in 1995. He completed his medical training in Internal Medicine and then Cardiology in 2002 and has been in practice in the Glen Burnie, MD area. He is married to Cassie and has 3 children, Andrew, Sophie, and Matthew. He has served as a Ruling Elder at Living Hope since 2008 and has served in the music ministry as a Worship leader.
